I haven't fished for walleye with a baitrunner, but I have read a few discussions about using them for basically any kind of stationary bait for pike, walleye, catfish, etc. You might like one a little smaller than the Daiwa 4000 for walleye. Check out the Okuma Avenger ABF 30 or even the ABF 20. But if you like the Daiwa 4000 you could also use it for some catfish or carp fishing too if you wanted to. I use and ABF 50 for carp and catfish.
